Sound Gallery will have a Car Boot Sale for Vintage Guitars and Classic Synths on August 22nd at the Corn Exchange. No signs yet of any performance but there will be Phoenix sounds at the Voodoo Lounge on Sept 26th.

Welcome Will - fancy putting up some Exeter vids on New Exeter?

Exeter YouTube Group

I started an Exeter YouTube group as the number of videos expanded. Exeter TV, based at LifeBytes on Sidwell Street opposite the Odeon, intends a channel on cable or satellite but YouTube is an alternative meanwhile. My own videos are mostly tests but the Exeter TV channel on You?Tube has some standards. I am now described as a "video blogger" to indicate the difference to be expected when a proper channel arrives.

Warning fair, Exeter TV may turn out to be quite a lot like "old Exeter". Once you admit Google Ads for example there is no knowing what will happen. At the moment Exeter City Council have no Flash on their website or on the browsers in the offices. So no YouTube obviously. I think this is a problem for an organisation trying to create a cultural brand for a place. So this may change, but probably not anytime soon.

Rougemont Global Broadcasting obviously could arrange to video Joss at Mama Stone's if a budget and permissions were sorted out. But this is more practical at this time.

The potential of playlists is worth exploring.

There is now a video of the actual choir rehearsal. See also the one from the broadcast. There are a few problems around the singing but nothing as shaky as the Phonic studio. A spirit of toleration and understanding should surround these honest experiments. Also by the way I have lost the tape of the week before when the choir was not even recognised as such. Just as well maybe. The tape will turn up so the record will be complete but maybe not before the more convincing versions are available.… Continue

There could be several more videos about Global Harmony as a choir and versions of how to present the soundtrack on radio. In theory the connection with rehearsal should help. Previously I have found that recording video is fairly ok with a choir but they sometimes back off from actually publishing it because of a few small mistakes.
